June brings warmer days and new opportunities to connect, create, and enjoy. At Taylor's Place, we have planned a variety of engaging events designed especially for adults with disabilities. These activities offer a chance to build friendships, learn new skills, and have fun in a supportive environment. If you have already signed up for an event, please remember to inform us if your plans change so we can accommodate others on the waiting list. Early registration is encouraged as spots and supplies are limited.

1. Art in Motion - Flyswatter Painting
This unique painting activity invites participants to create colorful artwork using flyswatters as brushes. It’s a playful way to explore movement and color, perfect for those who enjoy hands-on creativity. This event encourages expression and fine motor skills while having a great time.
2. Bowling with Heather and Jess
Join Heather and Jess for a fun bowling session. This activity promotes physical movement, coordination, and social interaction. Whether you are a seasoned bowler or trying it for the first time, this event welcomes everyone to enjoy friendly competition and laughter.
3. Music Therapy with Darcy Lipscomb
We are especially excited about this event. Music therapy offers therapeutic benefits through rhythm, melody, and song. Darcy Lipscomb will guide participants in activities that support emotional well-being and communication. Please note there is a fee for this session. Music therapy is a wonderful way to connect and express feelings in a supportive setting.

4. Paint n Sip Fundraiser
Our first Paint n Sip event was so popular that we are hosting one last time. This fundraiser combines painting with social time, allowing participants to create art while enjoying refreshments. It’s a relaxed atmosphere perfect for making new friends and supporting Taylor’s Place.
5. Game Day with Friends by The Skill Tree
Game Day offers a chance to enjoy board games and group activities that stimulate thinking and teamwork. The Skill Tree brings a variety of games suited for adults with disabilities, encouraging social skills and friendly competition.
6. Colors of Friendship
This event celebrates friendship through creative projects focused on color and collaboration. Participants will work together on art and crafts that symbolize connection and community. It’s a meaningful way to build bonds and share positive experiences.
7. Friendship Takes Flight - Airport Takeover
Experience the excitement of the airport with us! This event includes a tour to learn about airplanes and airport operations, followed by a lunch together. It’s an educational and fun outing that offers a new perspective on travel and teamwork.
8. Father’s Day Crafting Event
Celebrate Father’s Day by creating personalized crafts. This activity allows participants to make thoughtful gifts or keepsakes for the special fathers in their lives. It’s a hands-on way to show appreciation and creativity.
9. Lunch Bunch at IHOP
Join us for a casual lunch at IHOP. This social gathering encourages conversation and connection over a meal. It’s a relaxed setting to enjoy good food and company.
